Hull section AGM and Committee’s Personal Choices by Joanne Maxwell, Section Chair
Hull section members came together for what was promised to be (and was!) a very brief AGM. Chair Joanne Maxwell encouraged everyone to continue to introduce prospective new members. Secretary Jo Coupland reported that the
section ended the year with 62 members, but she expected at least six new members would be joining in 2026. Treasurer Stephen Hussey said that Hull’s finances were in good order and would review later in the year if any adjustments could be made to the meeting fee. Event coordinator Olwen Evans-Knibb confirmed that she has finalized most of the dates for the 2026 programme. Vice-Chair Don Knibb said that all of Hull section’s officers have agreed to continue in their respective roles so no elections were necessary. Hull section member and former Guild Chair Ann Johnson thanked the Hull Committee for their efforts and complimented them for ensuring that our section’s events ran smoothly.
